NOT ACCEPTED: No other payment types will be accepted. A valid credit card in the first name and surname of the lead driver (no abbreviations) must be presented at the rental desk in order to pre-authorize/charge a deposit. The credit card(s) must be embossed and a PIN number may be required. In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver's name, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
You are allowed to use the vehicle in the following countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You are not allowed to use a vehicle, rented in England, Scotland or Wales, in the Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. Further, a vehicle rented in Northern Ireland can only be used in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Vehicles may be taken to other countries if Continental Cover is purchased.

Continental cover is available to purchase at some locations at time of rental for any travel within the continent. Vehicle must be returned to UK Mainland or additional one way charges will apply: UK cars (excl BMW & Mercedes) can be taken into the following countries only: Belgium, Channel Islands, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Rep Of Ireland, Andorra, Austria, Baleriacs, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Sicily, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Uskudar. Credit cards accepted by Avis Budget: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, Diners Club.
Please contact the branch 5 days prior to travel for details and to arrange. This is so that they cna prepare your Green Card - the proof that you are insured to drive in the permitted countries. Cross Border is not guaranteed and charges and restrictions may apply locally. Please contact the Local branch before the pickup.

Continential Cover - How much does it cost: Charges: 1-7 days £90 to £104.40, 8-14 days £126 to £146.16, 15-21 days £156 to £180.96, 22-28 days £216 to £250.56.
It is the drivers responsibility to provide any compulsory vehicle equipment for driving abroad.
